WebRTC Engineer

The Role

As a WebRTC Engineer, you'll own the real-time layer: browser video calls, screen sharing, recording, and the co-browsing stream that lets an agent see a customer's page live.

It has to connect in one click, in any browser, on a bad network, without a download or a plugin.

What You'll Do

• Build and operate the WebRTC pipeline for multi-party video and screen sharing.
• Own the co-browsing transport, including DOM streaming and field masking.
• Tune connection setup, bandwidth and codec behaviour for weak networks.
• Build session recording and playback that respect privacy controls.
• Instrument call quality metrics and act on what they show.
• Debug real-world connection failures across browsers and devices.
• Work with security on encryption and session isolation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of engineering experience, with hands-on WebRTC work.
• Deep understanding of ICE, STUN, TURN, SDP and media pipelines.
• Experience shipping real-time audio or video to production.
• Strong TypeScript, and comfort in a server language such as Go or Rust.
• Practical debugging skills across browsers, devices and networks.
• Understanding of encryption and privacy in real-time systems.
• Clear writing about failure modes and trade-offs.
